A Prelude to the Diversity Conference: Poetry Reading

The Diversity Council invites students, faculty, staff, and members of the campus community to join us on Monday, September 28, in the Empire Room at the Brighton Campus from 12pm to 1pm for a special poetry reading event.

This event serves as a prelude to the Diversity Conference and will feature poetry written by individuals living with disabilities. Through their words, these poets share their thoughts, emotions, perspectives, and lived experiences, offering an opportunity for reflection, understanding, and connection.

Members of the Diversity Council, students, and staff will come together to read and celebrate these meaningful works.

We encourage the campus community to attend and experience the power of poetry as a means of sharing diverse perspectives and honoring the voices and experiences of individuals with disabilities.

Please join us for this meaningful and thought-provoking event as we begin our celebration of diversity, inclusion, and lived experience. Remember to bring your lunch.
